Start

Cesc Fabregas expressed his satisfaction with Como’s performance after their surprising 3-2 victory over Atalanta, their first Serie A win in 21 years. The Spanish coach praised his team’s ability to create chances and put Atalanta under pressure.

Fabregas emphasized the importance of playing with identity and personality, stating, “I ask the players for personality and identity. I’m very demanding because I give a lot of information to the players.” He noted that in recent matches, the team had deserved better results, and this win against a top European side like Atalanta gives him confidence.

The former midfielder highlighted Como’s tactical approach, saying, “We created difficulties for Kolasinac with Strefezza and Alberto Moreno. We played ‘facing forward’, not with our backs to the goal.” This aggressive style of play allowed Como to challenge Atalanta effectively.

Fabregas also addressed the team’s mentality, praising their resilience and personality in a difficult away match. He stated, “It wasn’t easy, but we showed incredible personality, because to make a difference you need this, even if you have a lot of technical skill.”

Looking to the future, Fabregas concluded, “This is just the beginning for me. We need to build something important with the club.” His comments reflect a long-term vision for Como’s development in Serie A.
