With this year’s season imminently nearing a curtain closure, Juventus have already started deploying a blue-print within their preparations for next season as the Bianconeri have reignited their interest in Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney.
So far within this year’s current campaign, the Scottish international has only made 17 appearances for the Gunners, starting only four of those minimal appearances within the Premier League due to frequent injury issues and a run of poor displays on the pitch.
Despite Tierney’s contract expiring in the summer of 2026, it is very much possible that the full-back could be tipped for an exit at the end of the campaign due to his lack of consistency under Mikel Arteta at the helm of the club as a method to raise additional funds.
Premier League correspondent Steve Kay has exclusively revealed to the Footitalia team through discussions with Serie A intermediaries that Juventus are monitoring Tierney’s situation with the Premier League outfits very closely as they are very keen on the idea of potentially acquiring him as an option within the back-line.
As it stands, full-back Juan Cuadrado is set to part-ways with the Old Lady when his contract expires at the end of the current season, and the future of veteran Italian international Leonardo Bonucci is yet to be decided with his contract expiring in 2024.
The Bianconeri rate Tierney extremely highly due to his versatility and strong technical ability to contribute within the offensive phase along the flanks. As a result, Juventus have been eyeing the 25 year-old since 2019 prior to his move to the Permier League and have commenced transfer negotiations with Scottish giants Celtic.
With still plenty of time until the summer transfer window opens, it remains to be seen whether Juventus will immerse themselves in a full-fledged pursuit for Kieran Tierney.
