After experimenting with his squad in the recent Serie A fixture, Roma manager Claudio Ranieri is poised to deploy his most formidable lineup for Thursday’s pivotal Europa League encounter.
The Giallorossi are expected to welcome back several key players who were rested over the weekend. Paulo Dybala, the team’s talisman, is set to return to the starting eleven, alongside midfield maestro Leandro Paredes, dynamic winger Alexis Saelemaekers, and experienced defender Mats Hummels.
Ranieri has the luxury of a fully fit squad at his disposal, with the exception of Spanish center-back Mario Hermoso. The defender has been absent from training as he finalizes a mid-season transfer to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
On the opposing side, Eintracht Frankfurt face a significant challenge in attack. The recent departure of their primary goalscorer, Omar Marmoush, to Manchester City has left a void in their offensive lineup. His replacement, Elye Wahi, is ineligible for the Europa League until the knockout stages.
As a result, Frankfurt may opt for a front three comprising Hugo Ekitike, Can Uzun, and Mario Gotze, with Ansgar Knauff also vying for a starting position. Former Roma loanee Rasmus Kristensen is anticipated to feature on the right flank for the German outfit.
