Juventus are reportedly on the verge of finalizing a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, with Italian media suggesting the transfer could be completed next week. The Dutch international has been absent from Atalanta’s training sessions in recent days, fueling speculation about his imminent move to Turin.
According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport, Juventus are confident of securing Koopmeiners’ signature before the Italian transfer window closes on August 30th. While the midfielder is not expected to join the Bianconeri before their upcoming match against Hellas Verona, negotiations are progressing rapidly.
Atalanta have set an asking price of €60 million for Koopmeiners, but Juventus are prepared to make a substantial offer. Tuttosport reports that the Old Lady is ready to bid €50 million plus €6-7 million in add-ons, bringing the total package close to Atalanta’s valuation.
Juventus appear to be fully committed to signing Koopmeiners, with Gazzetta dello Sport stating that the club has no alternative targets for midfield reinforcement this summer. The Bianconeri view the Dutch midfielder as a key piece in strengthening their squad for the upcoming season.
In addition to pursuing Koopmeiners, Juventus are also looking to bolster their attacking options. The club has reportedly set its sights on wingers such as Nico Gonzalez, Jadon Sancho, and Francisco Conceiçao as potential additions to their squad.
