Following the Nerazzurri’s dominant 4-0 victory over Czech side Viktoria Plzen, Inter striker Edin Dzeko gave his insight on the fixture within an interview.
The Bosnian international played a pivotal role in securing qualification to the Round of 16 as he bagged a brace on Milanese soil, earning himself of the Man of the Match award at the end of the 90 minutes.
Speaking to Amazon Prime Italia, as relayed by Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the 36 year-old talisman provided his perspective of the vital win:
Apart from the opening 10-15 minutes, I think we did well. I do all I can to help the team, it is my duty. At times it goes well, at other times not so much, but I try to give my best even at the age of 36.”
In addition, the former Roma attacker briefly touched upon whether he will stay at Inter following this season:
I feel good and know that I can still play at this level, so we’ll see if I continue playing with the Inter jersey or elsewhere.”
