Roma’s Argentine forward Paulo Dybala is generating buzz regarding a potential return to Argentina, 14 years after his last experience in his home country with Instituto ACC. This speculation was ignited by comments from his wife, Oriana Sabatini, during a popular Argentine television program. When asked about the possibility of Dybala continuing his career in Argentina, she stated, “No… I don’t want family problems, especially with my father who is a River fan. Paredes has put this idea in his head about returning together to Argentina. If his friend Paredes wants him to go to Boca, he will go with his friend.”
Currently, Dybala’s situation at Roma is less than ideal. The team is struggling, sitting just three points above the relegation zone after suffering three consecutive losses in Serie A, including a recent defeat against Napoli. The club has appointed Claudio Ranieri in hopes of turning their fortunes around. Dybala, regarded as the most talented player on the squad, has faced challenges due to injuries and muscle issues, which have hindered his ability to contribute effectively to the team’s performance.
The future of Dybala at Roma remains uncertain. Last season, he nearly left for Al-Qadsiah but ultimately chose to stay in Rome. His current contract runs until June 30, 2025, with an automatic renewal clause that could extend it until 2026 if he plays at least 50% of matches for a minimum of 45 minutes each. As of now, he has participated in 71 out of 125 matches required for this clause to activate.
