Roma forward Paulo Dybala admits he doesn’t know what will happen at the end of the season, amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United. The Giallorossi star was speaking to press ahead of Roma’s Europa League match against RB Salzburg tomorrow night and discussed his happiness at winning the World Cup, the upcoming match and his future at Roma:
“Salzburg are a team that plays in Champions League, they’re not easy to face, as the coach said. We will be ready for a battle tomorrow.
“We know how risky it is to miss such an opportunity. I always try to prepare myself to the maximum, I did it before the World Cup but also now. I have so many people off the field who help me in all aspects. I always try to be 100 percent. I had bad experiences, but it happens to many.
“Winning internationally is very nice. I have never done it at club level and I miss it: winning helps you win more and I hope to continue on this path. I have won so many trophies in my career, I hope I can win one at the European level.
“Winning the World Cup is one of the most beautiful things for a footballer. But this is a competition I want to win, and give my best to be able to take Roma to win this trophy. We know that there are stronger and more favored teams because of what they represent in football, but you never know what can happen. There are the draws that can help. We have to think about doing well, and not think about the future if we don’t beat Salzburg.
“The release clause? It is a matter between my agents and the club. At the end of the year I don’t know what will happen. I would like to continue to be coached by Mourinho, he is one of the best and I want to win with him. I only think about tomorrow’s game and doing well. The year is long and I want to win with Roma and make it to the Champions League.”
