Roma forward Paulo Dybala may yet make the 2022 World Cup, despite having picked up a serious injury last weekend. La Joya was injured in Roma’s 2-1 win over Lecce when he pulled up after converting the winning penalty for the Giallorossi.
Sky Sport Italia report that the Argentine underwent an MRI scan today which has confirmed a lesion to his rectus femoris injury. The player is expected to miss between four to six weeks but he might yet make the World Cup in Qatar.
Argentine journalist Gastón Edul reports that the Argentine national team will put Dybala on the reserve list until the second week of November and while it might be tight, La Albiceleste haven’t ruled out taking him.
Dybala is expected to undergo a new medical examination next week and has already begun his recovery program.
