Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic shared his thoughts on his time in Italy and his transfer from Florence to Turin. The Serbian striker was speaking with the Italian Trade Agency as part of a series called ‘Champions of Made in Italy’ (as quoted by TMW) and began by reflecting on his move to Juventus@
“My transfer to Turin was a significant change for me. But from the first day I arrived here, I felt at home. For me, and I believe for every footballer, football is everything; it is our life. This is how we live, completely focused on football; it’s the only thing on my mind.”
Delving into his experience with Juventus, Vlahovic highlighted the rich history and tradition encapsulated within the club’s museum. He remarked, “The Juventus museum is full of history and trophies; you can even find jerseys of players with over 300 appearances and the famous bench from where it all began. Every time you enter here, it’s exciting; you can read all about Juve. I am proud to be part of this club, and I hope to find my place in this museum too. I will do my best.”
Recalling his fondest memories, Vlahovic reminisced, “The best moment was undoubtedly the first day at Juve when I became one of their players and met all the fans, club staff, and teammates. And then, the first game at the Stadium and the first goal… I remember it was against Hellas Verona. When I arrived, I had the opportunity to play with Bonucci and Chiellini; they helped me a lot to settle in.”
He also expressed gratitude towards legendary figures of Juventus, saying, “I also spoke with Buffon, Del Piero, Marchisio… They explained to me what it means to play for Juventus, and I am grateful to all of them.”
Regarding his aspirations, Vlahovic emphasized, “The most important part of the museum for me is the trophy room; there are competitions that everyone wants to win, and they are also my dream. I will work hard to win them one day.”
In conclusion, DV9 expressed his delight in being part of Juventus and the Italian culture, stating, “Being part of this club, city, and people is incredible. You have to be in Juventus to truly understand what it means. I love Italy, like my home. I am happy to be here, I have many friends. It’s a pleasure to be part of Italian culture. Italy is special, the cities, people, culture, football. I hope to bring great joy to Juventus fans.”
