AC Milan have successfully acquired Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord. The talented striker is set to arrive in Italy today to undergo medical examinations before signing a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2029. The deal will see Gimenez earn 2.5 million euros net per year.
Calciomercato report that the Rossoneri management managed to convince the Dutch club with an offer of 35 million euros, including bonuses, and a percentage of any future resale for the Argentine-born Mexican international, born in 2001. Gimenez is expected to be in the stands at San Siro for Sunday’s derby against Inter.
His arrival paves the way for the departure of Spanish forward Alvaro Morata, who is set to move to Galatasaray in Turkey. Additionally, young talent Francesco Camarda is also on his way out, likely joining Monza on a loan deal.
Milan’s transfer activity doesn’t stop there. The club is working to provide Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição with another attacking option: his compatriot João Félix on loan from Chelsea. The former Atletico Madrid and Benfica player is also of interest to Aston Villa, led by sporting director Monchi. However, Villa seems to have shifted their focus to Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford after selling Colombian striker John Duran to Al-Nassr, now coached by former Milan manager Stefano Pioli in Saudi Arabia.
