Juventus has successfully concluded negotiations with Porto for the acquisition of Francisco Conceicao. The Portuguese winger is set to join the Bianconeri on a straight loan deal worth €7 million, with an additional €2 million in potential bonuses. The young talent is expected to arrive in Turin tomorrow for his medical examinations.

His father, Sergio Conceiçao, a former player for Lazio, Parma, and Inter, and current coach, played a significant role in shaping his early career. After a brief stint with Belenenses, Francisco joined Sporting Lisbon’s youth academy, where he developed alongside other promising talents like Nuno Mendes.
In 2017, Conceicao followed his father to Porto, where he truly began to flourish. During the 2018-19 season with Porto’s Under-17 team, he netted an impressive 15 goals in 15 matches, drawing comparisons to none other than Lionel Messi. His breakthrough into the first team came in the 2020-21 season, making 17 appearances across all competitions and debuting in the Champions League against Juventus at just 18 years old.
Conceicao’s talent didn’t go unnoticed at the international level. He was called up to Portugal’s U21 squad for the 2021 European Championship, where he became the youngest scorer in the tournament’s history. After a brief spell with Ajax in the 2022-23 season, where he made 28 appearances and contributed one goal and three assists, Conceicao returned to Porto.
The 2023-24 season proved to be his most productive yet, with 43 appearances yielding 8 goals and 8 assists. This impressive form earned him a call-up to the senior Portuguese national team for friendlies in March and June, as well as a spot in the Euro 2024 squad.
