Done Deal: Filip Kostic to join Fenerbahçe

Start

Juventus and Fenerbahce have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of Serbian winger Filip Kostic. The negotiations between the two clubs have progressed positively, with both sides aiming to finalize the deal as soon as possible before the Turkish transfer window closes on September 13.

According to reports from Calciomercato and various others, Kostic is expected to arrive in Istanbul in the coming hours for his medical examination, a crucial step before the transfer can be officially announced. The player, aware that he no longer fits into Thiago Motta’s plans at Juventus, has expressed his openness to the move to Turkey.

The deal is structured as a loan agreement until the end of the 2024/25 season. Kostic, who is currently under contract with Juventus until June 30, 2026, sees the transfer to Fenerbahce as a positive opportunity to continue his career under the guidance of José Mourinho.

This move marks another significant acquisition for Fenerbahce as they bolster their squad for the upcoming season. For Juventus, it represents an opportunity to offload a player who is no longer central to their plans.

Once the medical examinations are completed, the final step will be the signing of the contracts to seal the transfer.
