Ahead of I Nerroverdi‘s match against Roma tomorrow evening, Sassuolo boss Dionisi provided an update on winger Domenico Berardi.
So far this season, the 28 year-world attacking-minded player has only made five appearances after undergoing a series of injuries regarding his thigh. The Italian international tore his thigh towards the end of August, but then suffered a relapse upon his return against Atalanta.
As it stands, Dionisi’s side sit in 13th place with a total 15 points, having lost four of their last five outings within the league. Without the presence of their skipper, Sassuolo has struggled to find the back of the net within the final third on a consistent basis.
Within the media, as relayed by Italian news outlet Tuttomercato, Dionisi spoke on Berardi’s availability on the eve of the fixture against the Giallorossi:
“I can’t be sure of this, because there are one and a half training sessions left, we are evaluating.”
