Italy’s Federico Dimarco spoke about the Azzurri’s much needed victory, following their 3-1 win over France in the Nations League. The Inter full-back played a vital role in the match, scoring Italy’s second goal to cap off a wonderful individual performance.
Speaking with RAI post-match, he was asked if the team realizes the magnitude of their achievement, and responded, “It wasn’t easy to start again after the Euros, but we played a great game and it was needed for morale.”
Commenting on the team’s quality, he said, “Excellent game. We’re happy with both the goals and the performance, which is the most important thing.”
Regarding the significance of the evening, Dimarco stated, “It carries a lot of weight. It’s not easy to beat France, especially at home. We hope to continue like this.”
