Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Milan are taking their time in deciding on their next coach, with Antonio Conte, Sergio Conceiçao and Paulo Fonseca all on the shortlist. Stefano Pioli looks increasingly likely to be sacked this summer, with the Rossoneri looking to go in a new direction on the bench.
Speaking on Sky Sport Italia (via Milannews), Di Marzio offered an update on the situation, saying:
“Milan have not yet found next season’s coach, they are taking their time. Fonseca and Conceiçao remain in the mix although there has been no acceleration with the Porto coach.
“Fonseca has taken a few days to decide between Marseille and Milan. Milan are insisting on him, Marseille have made him an important offer. President Longoria was annoyed today because rumours had circulated about an agreement already reached with Fonseca, but in truth Fonseca has not given the definitive OK to either Marseille or Milan.
“I know that Conte would accept Milan, it remains to be seen if Milan will go down on Conte. De Zerbi has not yet been contacted. Ibrahimovic’s role? He too will have his say”.
