Juventus winger Angel Di Maria insists he is happy at Juventus and decisions on his future will be dependent on his family. The World Cup winner turned in a brilliant performance in the Bianconeri’s 3-3 draw with Atalanta last night, and is gradually becoming a key player for The Old Lady this season. The 34-year-old only signed a one-year deal with Juventus and speaking to DAZN after the game, he explained why he has belief that Juve can turn the season around and what his immediate future holds:
How do you assess the game and the point you gained?
“It’s important, we made some mistakes and some good things, but it’s not easy to find ourselves 22 points in the standings out of the blue, but we have to keep working with this mentality”.
Can Juve get to the Champions League standings?
“We have to be strong as a group, Juve have a winning mentality and this can make the chase for fourth place possible.”
How did you experience these moments?
“I arrived at the worst time for Juve with this problem, but I’m happy here, I’m happy, Juve is a great team and we can become winners again. The important thing is to be strong as a club, attacking and giving our best.”
The fans are worried because you only have one year left on your contract. Can this affect your future?
“No, because my priority is always my family and my family is happy at Juventus, they are happy here. They are at the biggest club in Italy and one of the biggest in Europe. And I’m happy here too.”
