Di Gregorio discusses Juventus experience and national team aspirations

Start

Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio recently shared his thoughts on his club experience and national team call-up in an interview with Rai Sport. The young shot-stopper expressed his enthusiasm for both his new role at Juventus and his opportunity with the Italian national team.

Regarding his move to Juventus and his national team call-up, Di Gregorio stated, “I’m happy to be at Juventus, to have found the manager, the staff, and such a great club. But now I’m with the national team, and I want to enjoy this week to the fullest because I’ve desired to be here for so long.”

Di Gregorio also provided insight into Thiago Motta’s coaching style at Juventus, saying, “Motta wants a group that follows him, regardless of age, and we do follow him. The manager demands a certain mentality, and this pushes us to always go hard and never lower our attention. I believe this is the right approach.”

When asked about the competition with fellow Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin, Di Gregorio responded diplomatically: “I always work and make myself available to the coach, then it’s up to him to make his choices. Mattia is a goalkeeper of great quality, a great person. It’s right that he also finds his space, and that we push each other day by day to improve.”
