Former Roma captain and coach Daniele De Rossi has expressed his desire to return to the club’s training ground, Trigoria. Speaking at a recent event at Coverciano, De Rossi addressed speculation about his future with Roma and his feelings about the club.
When asked if he would ever return to Trigoria, De Rossi responded emphatically, “I never said I would never come back. Beyond the dynamics of being a player or a coach, being dismissed is part of the job. I feel at home in Rome; my father works there. I’ve spent more time at Trigoria than at home. Just as I returned to Coverciano, I will also return to Trigoria.”
His comments come during a period of transition for Roma, who are currently searching for a replacement for Ivan Juric after his dismissal following a loss to Bologna. The club’s management is considering various candidates, both Italian and international, to take over the coaching role.
Reflecting on his time at Roma, De Rossi added that he has always felt a strong connection to the club and its supporters. “Roma is my home,” he reiterated, underscoring his commitment to the team and its future.
