Roma legend Daniele De Rossi says he hopes to return to the club one day and says Claudio Ranieri is a ‘gentleman.’ The SPAL coach was speaking ahead of his teams trip to Cagliari this evening and was asked about his former coach, a man he still evidently still has a lot of respect for:
“Ranieri? From a tactical point of view he is very pragmatic, intelligent, he knows football and the players better than anyone else. Then from a human point of view he is a gentleman, a gentleman with great personality who makes himself heard and respected in the locker room and has no problems telling this guy or that guy if they are behaving badly or taking off me at halftime in a Derby.
“The last memory we share together is incredible, he was by my side in what was probably our last appearance for Roma, although I hope to return one day. It was the moment when we said goodbye to our favorite team and gave each other strength.”
