Venezia head coach Eusebio Di Francesco held a press conference to discuss the upcoming match against Empoli, set to take place tomorrow afternoon at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo. Di Francesco praised his counterpart, Roberto D’Aversa, stating, “D’Aversa has done an excellent job. His team is very dangerous away from home; they are exceptional on the counter-attack and are having a great season, showcasing many young talents as this club has always done.”

When asked about the tactical approach for the match, Di Francesco noted similarities between the two teams. “They play somewhat like us in terms of player characteristics. From Fazzini to Henderson and Cacace, they utilize offensive and interesting players. They have been doing well with their attackers, even if they have earned fewer points recently.”

Reflecting on his history with Empoli, where he began his managerial career, Di Francesco shared his thoughts. “We have crossed paths many times, both battling together and as opponents. I have many memories from when I started with a suitcase full of dreams. Now I focus on the present and on facing them tomorrow to win.”

Regarding his team’s performance so far this season, he stated, “We have put forth what we needed to; in some matches, we could have done better. I don’t like to talk about bad luck. We made a few too many individual errors in addition to team mistakes. I see a team that is growing in terms of identity. We are starting to become more cohesive as a unit.”
