Following Juventus’ draw with Venezia, team captain Danilo spoke to Sky Sport, addressing the current state of the team and recent events.
Reflecting on the match, Danilo acknowledged the unpredictable nature of football: “Football at this moment is like this. Whether it’s a good performance or not, these things can happen. We have to play again on Tuesday, but we must move forward to give an immediate response.”
The Brazilian defender also commented on the whistles directed at teammate Dusan Vlahovic: “We haven’t talked about it. We’re all human beings, and on an evening like this, it’s understandable that fans are frustrated. As players, we make mistakes, but we have the utmost respect for the supporters who have always backed us. It’s not important to talk about specific incidents, but rather how we can improve.”
Addressing rumors about his own future, Danilo firmly stated, “Leaving in January? I’ve never asked for a contract termination. I’ll only leave in January if Juventus no longer wants me. I’ll always be available to help the team.”
Regarding the team’s tradition of approaching the Curva after matches, Danilo explained, “In my opinion, there are dynamics that should be respected. I’ve learned that when you win or lose, you thank the fans. And as long as I’m here, it will be like this, and these dynamics will continue. I don’t focus on these things. If you make a mistake, you apologize, but always with respect.”
