Daniele De Rossi says Dani Osvaldo is like a brother to him and he will always be there for the Argentine striker. His comments come after Osvaldo shared a video explaining his battle with mental health issues and depression after retiring from the game. Speaking about his former teammate, De Rossi explained the close bond he has with Osvaldo:
“Speaking about Dani is like talking about a brother. We spoke after Fiorentina-Roma; we exchanged photos from our days together at Fiorentina-Roma. There’s an intimacy between us that I’d rather not articulate. Especially because I wasn’t fully aware, or rather, I didn’t know everything.
“From my side, he knows that I’ll always be there for him, just as he was for me when I went to Argentina. And it’ll be the same now, if he wants it, he doesn’t need to ask,” De Rossi conveyed during the post-match press conference after Brighton-Roma.
