Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has reached an agreement to terminate his contract with the club, leaving him free to join Juventus. Today was expected to be deadline day for Giuntoli to free himself from the Partenopei, as had he waited any longer, Juve would have required a federal exemption to employ him.
Goal Italia’s Romeo Agresti reports that an agreement has now been reached for the former Carpi SD to leave Napoli, meaning he can join Juventus from tomorrow onwards.
Fabrizio Romano, Il Corriere dello Sport and a number of others report on similar lines, stating that Giuntoli is set to join the Bianconeri as their new sporting director, ushering in a new era for the Old Lady.
The 51-year-old has been a key part of Napoli’s recent title success, helping secure players like Victor Osimhen, Kim Min-Jae and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
