Napoli’s head coach Antonio Conte expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance following their 3-0 victory over Mantova in a friendly match. Speaking to OneFootball, Conte shared his thoughts on the team’s progress and areas for improvement.

“Good test, we’re coming off 9 days of hard work from both a physical and tactical standpoint,” Conte remarked. “Many excellent things, good pressure and a very high line. We need to be better at managing and commanding the game.”

The Italian manager continued, “After 9 days, we should be satisfied with the play. Winning helps to win. I repeat, in the possession phase we need to be better, I’m very satisfied with the aggressiveness and the high line. There’s work to do and room for improvement, we’re waiting for the arrival of the national team players and we’ll surely get better.”

Conte also commented on the team’s training camp, noting, “The retreat has been on an upward trend, we started slowly, but then the group adapted. The further we go, the more the boys will understand everything.”

Looking ahead, Conte emphasized his vision for the team’s playing style: “We need to bring great intensity during the matches, I don’t want a team that defends and waits for sporting death.”
