As Napoli prepare to face Roma, head coach Antonio Conte shared his thoughts on the upcoming match during a pre-game interview with Sky. With all national team players back and ready to play, Conte expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness.
“We are doing well; all the national players have returned and are prepared for this match,” he stated. When asked about Roma’s potential cautious approach, he remarked, “Whether Roma is cautious depends on the type of intention they have during the game. Roma certainly has excellent players both on the field and on the bench. We must show respect towards Roma and Claudio.”
Conte emphasized that every match should serve as motivation for his team. “Every game must represent a stimulus for us: we should not look at others but focus on ourselves, improving from match to match,” he explained.
Discussing the impact of midfielder Stanislav Lobotka’s return to the squad, Conte noted, “Lobotka has great experience and is a well-rounded player. Gilmour, at 24 years old, has significant potential: he has been an excellent acquisition for Napoli.”
