Luca Mazzitelli, Como’s midfield enforcer, recently shared his thoughts on his talented teammate Nico Paz. Despite wearing the number 36 himself, Mazzitelli recognizes the significance of the number 10 jersey that Paz dons for Como. The young Argentine, on loan from Real Madrid, has been making waves in Serie A with his eye-catching performances.
When asked about Paz’s abilities, Mazzitelli was unequivocal in his praise: “Absolutely, what you see in matches he does every day in training as well. Despite being very young, he’s showing consistency during games. A young player his age might perform at that level for two or three matches, but when he starts to have a constant performance like Nico, goes to the national team, trains with great champions and returns with the same humility as before, we’re dealing with a player of a different caliber.”
Mazzitelli expressed his hopes for Paz’s future, stating, “I hope he always stays this way and that this year he shows us his best, because I’m sure he has a great career ahead of him.”
When questioned about what impressed him most about Paz, Mazzitelli highlighted two key aspects: “Besides the consistency we talked about earlier, his physical strength: the ability to always win duels despite the many players pressing him. It may happen that his first touch isn’t perfect, but he always finds a way to get away with a play.”
