Como’s pursuit of a new goalkeeper has taken another turn, with Sampdoria’s Emil Audero now in the running.Despite having reached an agreement for Pau Lopez, Marseille have yet to release the former Roma goalkeeper.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that with Marseille unwilling to let go of Lopez until they secure a replacement, Como have redirected their attention to Emil Audero. The 1997-born goalkeeper is currently owned by Sampdoria, having spent the last season on loan at Inter Milan.
Como’s Goalkeeping Situation
Following the recent signing of Pepe Reina, Como is looking to further bolster their goalkeeping options ahead of the upcoming season. Initially, it seemed that another Spanish goalkeeper, Pau Lopez, would join the team. However, Marseille’s need to find a substitute has delayed his release.
As a result, the newly promoted team has shifted their focus to Emil Audero. The Sampdoria goalkeeper, who was part of Inter Milan’s title-winning squad as a backup, is now a primary target for Como.
