Como have set their sights on Napoli forward Cyril Ngonge as a potential reinforcement for the January transfer window. The Lombardy-based club has initiated contact with Napoli regarding the Belgian attacker, signaling their serious interest in acquiring his services.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the 24-year-old Ngonge has struggled to secure regular playing time under Antonio Conte’s management at Napoli this season. In total, he has made 10 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals in the Coppa Italia. Como sees this limited involvement as an opportunity to bolster their attacking options and strengthen their bid for Serie A survival.
Como manager, Cesc Fabregas, is keen to add Ngonge to his squad, viewing the forward as a valuable asset in their fight against relegation. The move could provide Ngonge with the increased playing time he has been lacking at Napoli, where competition for attacking positions is fierce.
While Como’s interest is clear, the transfer’s feasibility hinges on both Napoli’s willingness to let Ngonge go and the player’s own desire to make the move. Napoli, anticipating the possibility of Ngonge’s departure, has already identified a potential replacement in Yeremay Hernández, a 22-year-old offensive winger from Deportivo La Coruña.
Interestingly, Como are also monitoring Hernández, potentially setting up a complex transfer scenario involving all three clubs.
