Como look to Nikola Krstovic and Borja Mayoral to strengthen attack

Start

Newly promoted Como are reportedly looking to Nikola Krstovic and Borja Mayoral to bolster their attacking line. The Lariani made their return to Italy’s top flight after a 21-year absence, and are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of what promises to be a tough campaign.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the latest targets for their forward line are Nikola Krstovic from Lecce and Getafe striker Borja Mayoral. Krstovic, a promising talent from Montenegro, has had an impressive start to the season with Lecce. Signed in the summer by sporting director Pantaleo Corvino, the young forward quickly made a name for himself with his strong performances and goal-scoring prowess in the early matches. Although his form dipped later in the season, Krstovic managed to score crucial goals towards the end, helping Lecce secure their place in Serie A.

Mayoral brings a wealth of experience, including a stint in Serie A with Roma from 2020 to 2022, on loan from Real Madrid. The Spanish forward then moved to Getafe, where he had an outstanding season under coach José Bordalás. Mayoral scored 17 goals and provided one assist in 31 appearances across La Liga and the Copa del Rey, making him one of the most prolific strikers in Spain.
