Como close to Signing Andrea Belotti from Roma

Start

Newly promoted Como look set to make their first significant transfer of the summer, in the shape of Roma striker Andrea Belotti. After a period of reflection, the former Torino striker has given his approval to the transfer, embracing Como’s ambitious project.

Sky Sport Italia provide the details, suggesting the deal is expected to be finalized for around €5 million, with Belotti moving on a permanent transfer from Roma. Como’s management has been working diligently on this transfer, and their optimism has paid off with the player’s positive response.

Belotti’s recent career has seen him struggle to make a significant impact at Roma since joining from Torino in the summer of 2022. During his 18-month stint in the capital, he scored 10 goals in 68 appearances, with only three coming in Serie A. The striker spent the latter half of the recently concluded season on loan at Fiorentina, where he netted four goals in 24 matches and came close to winning the Conference League.

Como’s transfer activities don’t stop with Belotti. The club has reached an agreement with Cagliari for defender Alberto Dossena, with a deal worth €8 million plus €2 million in bonuses. However, personal terms with the player are yet to be finalized.

In their search for a goalkeeper, Como have expressed interest in Emil Audero, who spent the last season on loan at Inter before returning to Sampdoria. The newly promoted side faces competition from Monza and Nice for Audero’s signature. Sampdoria is initially asking for €7 million, the same amount Inter would have paid for his permanent transfer, which didn’t materialize.
