Clubs from Serie A and around Europe are lining up for Atalanta talent Giorgio Scalvini who has impressed many since the start of the season. The 18-year-old made his senior debut for La Dea last season but is getting regular playing time in the current campaign, making six appearances and scoring one goal.
Italian newspaper La Repubblica report that Juventus are among the clubs interested in the youngster, but they would face opposition from Inter and Roma, while Premier League side Manchester City are also following him closely.
Despite attracting the attention of so many prestigious clubs, Scalvini is focusing on his playing career with Atalanta for now. Speaking to Eco di Bergamo, addressed the rumours:
“The interest of the big clubs? It’s not me who reads these news, usually friends report them to me: actually I don’t think about it, I only have Atalanta in mind and I want to do well with this jersey. In ten years? I don’t know yet but I hope to have reached high levels, even with Atalanta.”
