The agent of Juventus winger Federico Chiesa’s has denied reports that his client is demanding an €8m salary to stay at the club. Reports circulated earlier this week that the 25-year-old was demanding the club increase his wages to match teammate Dusan Vlahovic, or he would look to move elsewhere.
Speculation has mounted that Juventus could choose to sell the Italy international as they can’t afford to meet those demands, given the team is in a rebuilding phase this summer.
Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani has now released a statement of his own, denying the rumours, saying:
“With regards to the rumours of the last few days on the future of Federico Chiesa, agent Fali Ramadani denies the reports of a request worth €8m put forward by the player to sign a new contract with Juventus FC.”
The Bianconeri winger has spent much of the season sidelined through injury, but went on to play 33 competitive games, contributing four goals and six assists in the 2022-23 season.
Liverpool, Newcastle United and Aston Villa have all been linked with Chiesa, who has a reported €60 million asking price.
