The transfer saga surrounding Chelsea’s promising midfielder Cesare Casadei continues to unfold as negotiations between the London club and Torino intensify. The Italian side have emerged as the frontrunner in the race to secure Casadei’s signature, with the player himself reportedly prioritizing a move to Turin.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, however, Chelsea’s financial demands are proving to be a stumbling block in the negotiations. The Premier League giants are holding firm on their valuation, requesting a fee of 15 million euros plus a percentage of any future sale. This asking price is currently beyond what Torino is willing to pay, creating an impasse in the talks.
While Torino remain in pole position, they are not the only club interested in the talented 21-year-old. Lazio have also entered the fray, adding another layer of complexity to the situation. The Rome-based club is reportedly considering Casadei as an alternative to Empoli’s Fazzini, suggesting they are keeping their options open in the midfield department.
Casadei, who joined Chelsea from Inter Milan’s youth setup, has struggled to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge. Despite his potential, the fierce competition in Chelsea’s midfield has limited his opportunities, making a move away from the club an attractive proposition for all parties involved.
