Champions League: Leipzig 2-3 Juventus: Player Ratings

Start

Juventus lost Bremer through injury and were reduced to 10 men, but still managed to secure a huge victory against RB Leipzig, winning 3-2 with a brace from Dusan Vlahovic.

Juventus

Di Gregorio: Did well enough in the early exchanges, but made a rash decision to come out of his box and pick up a red card. 5.5/10

Savona: Still has a way to go, but put in a solid enough shift. A night with plenty of lessons to be learned for the youngster. 5.5/10

Kalulu: He was seemingly everywhere, snuffing out every threat, reading the game with real maturity. Made at least two key blocks to deny Leipzig what looked to be certain equalizers. Exceptional. 8.5/10

Bremer: Picked up an unfortunate early injury and had to be subbed off.  N/A

Cambiaso: Was a little too lax in the early stages and gifted Sesko the opening goal, but he made up for it with the assist for Vlahovic, as well as a vital late clearance. Redemption. 7.7/10

Fagioli: One of his best performances in the Juventus shirt, looked dominant in midfield, creating chances, going toe-to-toe with the Leipzig and helping to alleviate the pressure. Excellent. 8.5/10

McKennie: Solid without needing to be spectacular, played a big role in the winner when he won the ball back in midfield to set Juve on their way. 7/10

N. Gonzalez: N/A

Koopmeiners: Hit the post and also wasted a great chance when he had most of the goal to aim at. 6.5/10

Yildiz – Didn’t really impose himself on the game in the first half and was forced off as he made way for Perin. 6/10

Vlahovic: Sensational. He was asked for a response in recent weeks, and he delivered in a big way. Scored two exceptional goals with two beautiful finished. The man of the match. 9/10

Substitutes:

Douglas Luiz: Did ok, but he was very laid back in possession at times and nearly cost Juve. 5.5/10

Gatti: Came on for Bremer and gave a captain’s performance. 6.5/10

Conceiçao: A livewire, every time he gets on the pitch. Took a little while to get going, but scored a sensational goal to win the game for Juve. 8/10

Perin: Weathered the last Leipzig storm and was decent overall. 6.5/10
