CdS: Juventus could be docked 12 points

Start

Il Corriere dello Sport suggest that Juve’s revised points penalty for alleged capital gains could be 12-points. The announcement is expected tomorrow after Juventus were once again referred back to the Court of Appeal for a decision. The Bianconeri were initially docked 15 points, which was reinstated on appeal to CONI, pending a new decision on Monday 22 May.

Il Corriere claim that the new penalty is expected to be at least 12 points in an effort to remove the club from not only Champions League football, but all European competitions next season. The newspaper also point to UEFA’s own investigation which is running in parallel to the FIGC, and which could yet disqualify them from Europe for a season anyway.

Juve will return to trial mid-June at the Federal Court where the FIGC prosecutor’s office is expected to ask for another points penalty, this time as part of the Prisma investigation relating to alleged under-the-table salary payments to players.

Il Corriere  suggest that in the best-case scenario, the entire process will all end in August once the three levels of sports judgment have been exhausted, that is, 500 days after the start of the first investigation.
