Antonio Cassano is bewildered by Milan’s decision to sack both Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara: ‘I hope Paolo can tell them to f*** off’. The news broke yesterday evening that Redbird Capital chairman Gerry Cardinale had held a brief meeting with the pair before firing them from their roles.
Speaking on Bobo TV about Maldini’s departure, Cassano shared his own unique thoughts on the decision:
“He (Maldini) has done an extraordinary job, while this Cardinale reminds me of (Jim) Pallotta of Roma, he only does the photos and theatrics while Maldini should be kissed where he walks.
“As always these Americans arrive without understanding anything about football. I hope for Paolo that he can tell them to f*** off and start again somewhere else, if he is not happy it is right for him to leave and for them to stick.”
