Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has no doubts about his future: “We’ll try again to win the CL next season.” The Turkish international penned a new contract with the Nerazzurri last summer, and spoke about his commitment to Inter during the international break:
“Will I stay at Inter? Of course. The elimination from the Champions League on penalties? We tried in Madrid, but football is like that. We’ll try again next season, now we focus on the league.
“The Scudetto? We’re close, but there are other important matches; we’ll think about it in due time. Would it be special to win the second star ahead of Milan, who are second in the standings? No, let’s see… I’m calm, like the whole team, and we only think about ourselves.”
“Turkey? Coach Montella has been important for us; he integrated well into the dressing room and knows how to manage the team. There’s a good atmosphere with him, we’re happy. Yildiz? He’s growing, like two or three other young players we have in the team.”
