Cairo: ‘Juric will still be with us for a year’

Torino president Urbano Cairo has full focus on the rest of the season now that the international break has concluded as the Granata dream for European football next season continues. Speaking to reporters at Serie A headquarters, as quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cairo spoke about the remainder of the campaign, Aleksei Miranchuk, Valentino Lazaro and the new contract for head coach Ivan Juric.

Miranchuk was absent from the 4-0 defeat at home to Napoli due to injury but he has now resumed training with his teammates and so should be available against Sassuolo on Monday. It has also been confirmed that head coach Ivan Juric will stay in Turin for another season and has signed a new deal until 2024.

“We have 11 games ahead of us until the end of the season, now it’s important to complete the championship well.”
