Cagliari sporting director Nereo Bonato has confirmed that Inter want to sign youngster Raoul Bellanova outright this summer. The 23-year-old spent the season on loan with the Nerazzurri after Cagliari were relegated from Serie A last season, with Inter retaining an option to sign him in June.
Speaking with Radio Sportiva explained that despite the option having expired, the Nerazzurri are still looking at ways to sign Bellanova:
“Inter had this option to redeem the player. However, they have explained to us their inability at the time to exercise the right. Despite the fact that the option has expired they have the will to keep him in Milan for next season as well, also opening up the possibility of evaluating other solutions to make the deal happen. The relationship with their club is solid, we have collaborated a lot over time and I am sure there will be no problems.”
