Serie A side Fiorentina are open to allowing Michael Kayode to leave as both Brentford and Brighton express increasing interest in the young defender. Reports from Alfredo Pedulla indicate that the two Premier League teams have reached out to assess Kayode’s market value, with Fiorentina considering him surplus to their needs and planning to sell him next month.
The 20-year-old has found himself overshadowed by Dodo in the left-back position, prompting him to seek a new club where he can secure regular playing time. Last summer, Aston Villa nearly signed him, but negotiations fell through when sporting director Monchi was unable to meet Fiorentina’s demands.
Currently, the inquiries from Brentford and Brighton are seen as initial explorations. However, the opportunity to acquire a talented young full-back could lead them to make a bid as soon as the January transfer window opens.
Kayode began his career in the Juventus youth academy before moving to Fiorentina after spending two years with Gozzano. He is also a member of the Italy U-21 national team, further highlighting his potential as a promising prospect in European football.
