Reports from the Italian press claim that Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba failed a doping test following the clubs victory over Udinese last month. Sportface and Il Corriere della Sera report that
Pogba has tested positive for doping: traces of testosterone were found following the clubs win over Udinese on August 20.
The French midfielder then played in the clubs matches against Bologna and Empoli, a total of 52 minutes.
Sportmediaset report that Pogba will therefore be suspended as a precautionary measure and will have three days to request counter-analysis. If the positive test is confirmed, Pogba will be judged by the national anti-doping tribunal unless a plea deal is opted for. The disqualification, in cases of doping, reaches up to two years, which could become four.
