Brahim Díaz is on the verge of signing a new contract with parent club Real Madrid.
According to The Athletic, this renewal will extend his deal – which was set to expire in 2025 – with the club until 2027 and offer improved terms.
Díaz, 23, has been on loan at Milan for the past three seasons, making 105 appearances for Rossoneri so far and helping the club win the Scudetto last season.
The Spain international has already lifted the Premier League (with Manchester City who he played for as a teenager), La Liga, and Serie A trophies.
It is as of yet undetermined where Díaz will continue his immediate development, but Mario Cortegana reports that Madrid view him as an important squad member for the coming years. As part of his contract extension, Díaz will receive a wage increase making him one of the middle earners at the Bernabeu, while it is the player’s priority to become a success at Madrid.
The unknown outcome of Marco Asensio’s contract situation, which currently expires this summer, is likely to have an effect on where Díaz decides to play his football next season.
Díaz has contributed five goals and two assists across all competitions for Milan this season.
