Bove collapses during Fiorentina-Inter match: Hospital update reveals he is conscious

Start

A shocking incident occurred during the Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter Milan at the Stadio Artemio Franchi when Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed on the field in the 17th minute. The young player, born in 2002, suddenly fell to the ground, prompting immediate concern from teammates and opponents alike, many of whom were visibly shaken and in tears.

Emergency medical personnel rushed to Bove’s aid, and he was quickly transported to Careggi Hospital in Florence. Fortunately, recent updates from the hospital indicate that Bove is now “vigilant and conscious,” breathing independently after initially losing consciousness on the pitch.

Witnesses reported that Bove had been tying his shoelaces just before he stood up and collapsed. Medical staff provided immediate assistance, including clearing his airway, before he was taken away by ambulance. The match was subsequently suspended due to the medical emergency, with both teams retreating to their dressing rooms as players struggled to cope with the shocking turn of events.

Inter Milan’s CEO Beppe Marotta addressed the situation, expressing solidarity with Bove and emphasizing the sense of community within football. “I spoke with Pradé a little while ago,” Marotta said. “I am here to express the closeness of Inter and the world of football. We are a community; when situations like this happen, all players and the referee are involved. It was a spontaneous decision to suspend the match.”

As Bove received treatment at the hospital, his teammates and coaching staff were present for support, including Fiorentina’s coach Raffaele Palladino and club officials.

The match will not resume as planned, and discussions regarding future scheduling will take place once more information about Bove’s condition becomes available.
