Edoardo Bove’s agent, Diego Tavano, has provided an update on the player’s health and reflected on his career moves in a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport. Following a major health scare and subsequent medical intervention, Bove is slowly returning to normalcy, though currently without football training.
Tavano, who considers Bove family, expressed his relief about the player’s condition: “The most important thing is that he’s doing well. For me, the football aspect isn’t as crucial as the rest: because thanks to him, I’m a better man today.”
Regarding Bove’s recovery, Tavano stated, “Edoardo won’t give up an inch. He’s doing well now. He’ll always maintain a positive attitude. I’ll fight alongside him to achieve any result.”
The agent praised Fiorentina for their support: “Thanks to Fiorentina for their sensitivity and attention. The place is incredible. Edo chose to live in the city center to experience the city fully.”
Tavano also revealed an interesting anecdote about Real Madrid’s concern: “I want to thank the entire football world and beyond. The support received has been incredible. Most impressive was Butragueño, who called me regularly to say that Real Madrid, on behalf of the entire team, was very close to him.”
Reflecting on Bove’s departure from Roma, Tavano shared, “Roma supporters loved him unconditionally even after he changed shirts. Of course, he didn’t want to leave; he wanted to become a flag-bearer for the Giallorossi team. We emptied his locker and cried as we went to the station to catch the train. On the other hand, we knew the choice was right because Edo has always considered Florence a city full of passion.”
Tavano also discussed the summer transfer window: “It was a particular summer. Having an excellent relationship with De Rossi, we always talked. He told me Bove could stay but would face tough competition. I told him it had to be the season of his consecration; it was important to play consistently.”
The agent mentioned interest from other clubs, including Nottingham Forest, but emphasized that Fiorentina was their preferred choice.
Tavano concluded by praising young talent Niccolò Pisilli: “Niccolò can be another son of Rome. Edo has a different depth, and many young players have taken him as an example, both from a football and human perspective.”
