Bournemouth submit offer for Nicolo Zaniolo

Start

Premier League club Bournemouth have entered the race to sign Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo, making a €30m offer. The 23-year-old is almost certain to leave the Giallorossi before the transfer window shuts next week, having refused to be part of the match day squad for their win over Spezia at the weekend.

Reports had linked Tottenham Hotspur with the Italy international before Serie A rivals Milan made their own bid last week, although Roma were quick to refuse the loan with obligation offer.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio writes today that Bournemouth have entered the running for Zaniolo and made their own offer of €30m, plus a future resale percentage. The offer reportedly meets the criteria that Roma were looking for, and it’s now up to any potential rivals for Zaniolo’s signature to match the bid, or the Giallorossi will close the deal with the Cherries.

The player will also have to agree to the move and much will decide on whether he’s prepared to wait until summer and be integrated back into the team in the interim, or make the move to a Premier League side who find themselves in a relegation battle.
