Borna Sosa arrives in Italy for Torino move

Start

Borna Sosa has touched down in Italy as he prepares to complete his transfer to Torino. The 26-year-old Croatian defender is set to join the Serie A club on loan from Ajax, with an option to make the move permanent for €7 million.

The left-back arrived in Turin on Friday morning, August 16th, ahead of his medical examinations scheduled for later in the day. Sosa’s arrival marks the culmination of negotiations between Torino and Ajax that have been ongoing in recent days.

Sosa’s move to Torino comes after a challenging spell with Ajax, where he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter following his transfer from VfB Stuttgart last summer. The Croatian international is now looking to revitalize his career in Serie A under the guidance of Torino manager Ivan Juric.

Torino have been in the market for a left-sided defender following the departure of Ricardo Rodriguez, and Sosa fits the profile they were seeking. His versatility and experience at the top level make him an attractive option for the Granata.

As Sosa undergoes his medical tests, Torino fans eagerly await the official announcement of their new signing. If all goes well, the Croatian could be in line to make his debut for the club in their upcoming Serie A fixtures.
