The agent of Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci says his clients main desire is to remain with the Bianconeri next season. The veteran centre-back has been informed by the club that he will not be part of their plans for the 2023-24 campaign, leaving him free to leave this summer. Speaking to ANSA about Bonucci’s situation, agent Alessandro Lucci clarified the player’s intentions, stating that much of what has been reported is merely rumour:
“I’m hearing so many fanciful market rumors about Bonucci, but his main desire is to remain at Juve of which he was captain until a few months ago, to carve out his role within such an important group.”
“He is a world-class footballer, Azzurri captain and leader of a team like Juve. Should market situations materialize, we would only consider opportunities at the height of his level to find the best solution for everyone.”
