Start

Bologna have officially announced that Lewis Ferguson will be sidelined for several months due to an ACL injury. In an official communication, the Rossoblu confirmed that attacking midfielder Ferguson sustained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury.

Following a medical assessment conducted today, it was determined that Ferguson has suffered an ACL injury. Recovery from such an injury typically takes approximately nine months, indicating that he is unlikely to feature for the club until the mid-season of the upcoming campaign.

The statement further stated that Ferguson is scheduled to undergo surgery in the coming days, after which the expected duration of his recovery will be disclosed.

This injury setback for Ferguson eliminates any possibility of interest from other clubs, as they were considering making a bid for his services during the summer transfer window.

Despite being only 24 years old, Ferguson has made 34 appearances for Bologna this season in various competitions, netting six goals and providing three assists. He joined the club last season and has since expanded his role within the team.
