Bologna FC is actively exploring options to strengthen their defensive lineup, with AC Milan’s right-back Davide Calabria emerging as a potential target. The Rossoblu have made initial inquiries about the Italian defender, signalling their interest in bolstering their squad.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that while Bologna’s preference appears to be waiting until Calabria’s contract expires, the situation could accelerate if current defender Stefan Posch departs. Posch has been linked with a move to Hoffenheim, and his potential exit might prompt Bologna to push for Calabria’s immediate acquisition.
The 28-year-old Calabria, a product of Milan’s youth academy, has been a key figure for the Rossoneri, contributing to their Serie A title win in the 2021-2022 season and claiming two Supercoppa Italiana victories. However, his playing time has diminished this season, with only 14 appearances totalling 725 minutes across all competitions.
