Benfica in talks with Torino for midfielder Tameze

Start

Reports from Turin suggest that Benfica are in negotiations with Torino for the transfer of midfielder Adrien Tameze. The 30-year-old French player, who joined Torino just last summer from Hellas Verona for €2.8 million, has already made four appearances this season in Serie A and Coppa Italia.

Tuttosport report how Tameze, known for his versatility as both a defensive midfielder and occasional center-back, has a contract with Torino until June 2026. However, it appears he may be open to a move to the Portuguese giants.

Throughout his career, Tameze has accumulated significant experience in Serie A, making 147 appearances and contributing five goals and four assists. His previous clubs include AS Nancy, Valenciennes, OGC Nice, and Atalanta.

While Benfica seems to be the frontrunner, it’s worth noting that the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 13, potentially allowing other clubs to enter the race for Tameze’s signature.

In related news, Torino is also looking to offload Nemanja Radonjic, with Crvena Zvezda expressing interest in the player.
